2010 19U/17U COACHES ANNOUNCED

On behalf of the Board of Netball ACT and the selection committee I am pleased to announce the following appointments.

Firstly, I would like to thank all of the applicants for their interest in seeking a position with one of the teams. In accordance with Netball ACT policy, all applicants have now been personally advised of the decisions and we will be working with all applicants, selected and non selected, to assist them with their future coaching career. A total of eleven coaches applied and this very satisfying that such a large quality field was available. Netball ACT is fully committed to expanding our pool of talented coaches. Thank you to all applicants.

19U NETBALL ACT 2010 POSITIONS

Head Coach: Sally Allen

Assistant Coach: Courtney McConnell

Apprentice Coach: Jenny Bateman

17U NETBALL ACT 2010 POSITIONS:

Head Coach: Melinda Clarke

Joint Assistant Coaches: Kim Symons and Natalee Withers

The 14 day appeal period commences with the announcement of the decision and therefore the appeal period will finish at 1.30pm on Friday 20^th November 2009.

Important Dates for both teams:

Opening of nominations for athletes: 9^th November 2009

Closing date for nominations for athletes: 20^th November 2009

Phase 1: 19U – 12^th December 2009; 17U – 5^th December 2009

Phase 2: 19U – 20^th February 2010; 17U 12^th February 2010

National Netball Championships, Adelaide, South Australia: 7^th to 12^th April 2010 inclusive.
